  HISTORY OF PIONEERING INNOVATION
 

American Medical Equipment (AME) began in 1993 in Columbus, Ohio as a privately held "DME" company with its focus on medical equipment for homecare patients. In 1994, AME expanded its services for in-patient care with the launch of a revolutionary non-powered wound care therapy mattress for hospitals or ngeniusursing home use. Over nearly two decades,

AME continued to broaden its product portfolio, maintaining strict focus on cutting edge wound care and/or specialty bed technologies for use in all care settings. AME
is relentless in its search for better solutions, and when combined with decades of experience, frequently great ideas were discovered but never pursued by the industry.

In response, over the past multiple years, AME has invested significantly in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of exciting and industry changing technologies, including the FLOWT® Mattress and the Circulator Boot™ Systems. AME's vision is to bring these technologies to customers throughout the United States to save improve care and save lives.

  SCOPE OF CARE
 

AME provides medical equipment solutions across the health care continuum for much of USA.

 

Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Long Term Acute Care Hospitals - AME specializes on Wound Care Technologies (Support Surfaces, NPWT, Circulator Boot), Bariatric Care, and Fall Prevention. servicemapTraditionally, AME provides delivery on demand and daily rental options. AME has become on of the fastest growing companies in the wound care segment, servicing many of the largest hospital systems, GPOs, LTAC's, and nursing home chains.

Homecare and Hospice Markets - In addition to our product specialties
(Support Surfaces, NPWT), AME provides patients at home with a full breadth of traditional home/hospice equipment, including hospital beds, mobility products, respiratory solutions, etc. Historically, in homecare, equipment is usually provided
to patients and AME provides billing services to third party insurances. AME is proud
to be ACHC Accredited and the recipient of a series of CMS (Medicare) Competitive Bidding Contracts.

  CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS
 

Immediate Delivery - currently most of AME's service is concentrated in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic areas of the US, however, AME is rapidly expanding throughout the United States. For rental customers, equipment is delivered on site & on time by trained AME staff.

Electronic Services - AME utilizes its proprietary database to track inventory, rentals, utilization and provide unlimited customer electronically deliverable reporting to customers.

Service Options - Some customers may wish to reduce rental expenses by buying or renting to ownership; likewise some customers wish to have on-site consignment to be ready for unexpected admissions. AME custom makes a service offering based on individual customer needs
